Senior Night 2016 wrapped up on Tuesday! A large audience came to hear four outstanding peer-selected senior projects.
Hannah Haney (above) kicked off the presentations with her scholarly talk entitled “Human Flourishing and Survival in The Road and Brave New World.”
Veronica Toth read selections from her creative project called “All the Other Lights Say Go,” featuring poetry and nonfiction.
The next presenter was Paula Weinman, who read several scenes from her Middle Grade novel Sink for It.
Davis Wetherell wrapped up the evening with his critical presentation “Navigating Through Labyrinths: A Comparative Study of Kafka and Nabokov.”
The Senior Project is the culminating work in the major, completed through a faculty-guided research hour in the fall and the Capstone course in J-Term. The 2016 senior English majors are an exceptional group who were well-represented by these four projects. Thank you to all students, faculty, and administrators in attendance.
