    English Alum Wins Major Book Award

    Jordan Zandi The Taylor University Department of English congratulates alumnus Jordan Zandi (’07) upon his being named the winner of The Kathryn A. Morton Prize in Poetry from Sarabande Books. Sarabande will publish Zandi’s first collection, Solarium. The contest judge was Henri Cole, critically-acclaimed poet and recent Pulitzer Prize finalist. Cole praised Zandi’s debut, writing: “Solarium is a completely original gem of a book…there is a sweet spirit haunting [Zandi’s] guileless poems.
